You’ve selected the lot, planned the home of your dreams, and now you’re seeing those dreams take shape. What’s next?
Get ready for the final 5 steps! Your custom home will soon be complete.
No. 16: PAINT
You’ve worked with Citadel’s Interior Design Consultant (Lindsay side note: will write Q&A article w Tara and interlink articles later) to pick out the color scheme of your dreams. Vibrant jewel tones to awaken the senses and make you feel alive. Calming blues and greens for the perfect peaceful paradise. Warm grays, metallics, and neutrals for your sophisticated sanctuary. Using your choosings, professional painters go to work personalizing your custom home to the colors of your liking.
No. 17: FINAL TOUCHES
At this stage in the process, the final touches are made that make your custom house a home.
Cabinetry is put in. Interior finishes – flooring, tiling, etc – take place. Driveways, sidewalks, and front porches are poured. The sprinkler system is installed. And if you’ve chosen the “Dream Landscape Package,” our expert landscape designers go to work installing trees, shrubs, flower beds, water features, and more.
No. 18: 30-DAY WALKTHROUGH
You’ve been watching from afar. Now it’s finally time to see how everything is coming along up close. About this time, our homeowners tour the home for their 30-day walkthrough to make any last minute changes.
No. 19: LAST MINUTE EDITS
From here, last minute edits are made. Light fixtures and plumbing fixtures are installed. “Punch out” items – think door knobs, toilet paper holders, towel bars, mirrors, etc – are installed.
No. 20: FINAL WALKTHROUGH
You’ve dreamed hard. We’ve worked hard. Now it’s time to take in what, together, we’ve made. You tour your home one last time.
